Despite my active childhood in snowy Maine, I suffered from frequent back pain and was eventually diagnosed with scoliosis. My cousin invited me to a yoga class in 2004. Reluctantly, I attended the class and surprisingly fell in love with those sacred 60 minutes of worry-free bliss, followed by lightness, abundant energy, and even weight loss. I began practicing regularly and was thrilled to find relief from my back pain as the muscles supporting my spine gained strength and flexibility.

I maintain a simple, abundant lifestyle by nurturing my body with healthy food, caring for the environment, writing a gratitude journal, creating journey collages, supporting local businesses and spending lots of time upside down, fostering a creative outlook. I remain young at heart, dreaming up a joyful community where adults are encouraged to safely play on their mats with awareness and self love: Front Porch Yoga!
